Aubameyang is no longer the captain of Arsenal after the club stripped off his captaincy and he’ll be out of their game against West Ham as well.
Aubameyang was dropped from Arsenal’s squad against Southampton on Saturday after returning late from a trip abroad.
Mikel Arteta left the striker out of his 20-man squad and confirmed the disciplinary breach during Saturday’s pre-match interview.
A club statement read: “Following his latest disciplinary breach last week, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will no longer be our club captain, and will not be considered for selection for Wednesday’s match against West Ham United.
“We expect all our players, particularly our captain, to work to the rules and standards we have all set and agreed.
“We are fully focused on tomorrow’s match.”
This is not the first time Aubameyang has been left out of a squad for disciplinary reasons. Back in March, he was left out of the side that beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 for being late.
